I'm going to keep this one short (like a 5K). Luck of the EMUs is a small race put on by the Eastern Michigan University Running Club. It's run exclusively on sidewalks around the EMU campus. So I ran a 32:00 8K a few weeks ago, so I thought I might take a shot at a PR at 10K. My PR at 10K is pretty slow, I'd like to get closer to 40:00 sooner than later. Today was the first test of the quest to finish the 2009 Disney Marathon with a running of the first annual Brooksie Way Half Marathon. The race is held in Rochester Hills, MI, and is quite hilly. Well, the final race of 2007 is here, and after the disappointing last few races, I pretty much left all expectations on the floor, and just went out and ran a race, being more interested in just racing. Today was my first race after the marathon. It was also damned cold outside,with temps hovering around 40 degrees or so. How would it go only four weeks after the marathon?

Why does it always seem to rain when I race this year?  Excepting the race I ran in Illinois in April, it's rained during each of the other races I've run.  Just not cool.  However, this race turned out pretty cool.  See below the cut!
